The SMS widget for Zendesk Helpdesk is an external two way SMS plug-in that lets you send and receive SMS messages from within your Zendesk application. This allows both your customers and support staff to receive SMS updates on ticket activity on their mobile phone. Customers and support staff can also reply to SMS messages to provide feedback or update the status of an active ticket. Remote agents can also open and close tickets via SMS. Any updates or changes made via SMS are logged against the relevant ticket records.
The SMS Widget also provides access to the SMS broadcast tool that enables users to send SMS notification or announcements as required to clients, groups or agents.

How to set up the SMS Widget
- Sign up online to our SMS for Zendesk service
- You will receive access to the SMS Target product and details how to set up the SMS widget
- You will be directed to our integration page where you will be asked to enter a few details. Clicking the Integrate button we install the necessary widget code and you are up and running.
