What is 2-way SMS?

Two-way SMS allows you to receive inbound SMS messages sent via SMS API or SMS applications. To run a 2-way SMS messaging service, SMS numbers are required to send and receive SMS messages. The SMS numbers are known as shortcodes and virtual SMS long numbers/longcodes. Please note that shortcodes can be used for zero rates services as well as premium SMS billing.

This 2-way functionality allows you to engage and interact with the audience and can increase the effectiveness of SMS broadcasting.
